American comic Richard Lewis, recognized for exploring his neuroses in frantic, stream-of-consciousness diatribes whereas wearing all-black, resulting in his nickname “The Prince of Ache,” died at his house in Los Angeles on the night of Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Lewis, who revealed he had been recognized with Parkinson’s illness in 2023, was 76.
