This Ain’t No Mouse Music!: The Story of Chris Strachwitz and Arhoolie Data (2014) is a feature-length documentary about Chris that captures his enthusiasms and outspoken, generally tetchy, infallibly trustworthy character. His biggest ardour lay in amassing the most important assortment of Mexican data – from 2000 the Strachwitz Frontera Assortment at UCLA.
I first met Chris round 2005 when researching my e-book Extra Miles Than Cash: Journeys in American Music.
