Jacques Barrot, French centre-right politician and former European Fee vice-president, died on 3 December on the age of 77.
An ally of Jacques Chirac when he was French president, Barrot held ministerial posts with accountability for labour, social affairs and well being below Alain Juppé within the Nineties and Raymond Barre within the Seventies.
