BeatKing, the Houston rapper also called Membership Godzilla, has died. He was 39.

The recording artist died Thursday in a Houston hospital, his supervisor Tasha Felder confirmed to The Instances on Friday.

Felder initially introduced BeatKing’s loss of life Thursday in an Instagram submit, writing, “At present, August 15, 2024 now we have misplaced @Clubgodzilla. BeatKing has been the perfect a part of the membership for over a decade. He has produced and labored with so many artists that his sound will eternally stay. He cherished his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music and his followers. We’ll love him eternally.”

The musician, whose actual identify was Justin Seth Riley, died from pulmonary embolism, a situation that happens when a blood clot blocks an artery within the lungs, stopping blood from flowing. Felder instructed The Instances that the rapper was taken to a close-by hospital after fainting throughout an look on City One (Radio One) and later died.

“His daughters had been with him your complete time. It’s actually unhappy, we cherished him a lot,” Felder stated.

After phrase of his loss of life, artists paid tribute to BeatKing on social media.

Lil Scrappy, a fellow Houston rapper, posted a screenshot on his Instagram story of their 2022 single “Thangin” writing, “Rip to my Brudda that did work fr @clubgodzilla I’m misplaced on this one.”

Memphis rap duo Three 6 Mafia commented beneath Felder’s Instagram submit Thursday, writing, “RIP MANE!!! GREAT BROTHER!!”

BeatKing was born Nov. 24, 1984, in Houston. His music was common amongst clubgoers for its distinctive sound, southern rap affect and express lyrics.

He rose to prominence in 2010 with the discharge of “Crush,” which was featured on his 2011 album “Kings of the Membership 2.”

In 2020, he launched the viral hit, “Then Depart,” that includes one other Houston rapper, Queendome Come. The one is his most streamed track on Spotify, with greater than 60 million streams. In 2022, he was featured on “THICK” by DJ Selected, which grew to become a viral hit that impressed a well-liked TikTok dance and a remix with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who can also be from Houston.

Riley is survived by his daughters Jayla and Kayla and his girlfriend, singer Talameshia.
