Bernard Kops’s radio drama output was prolific. His BBC radio commissions stored him going each financially and emotionally at a time when his theatre performs have been being turned down. The 1981 play Ezra talked about within the obituary was truly one in all a sequence of radio/theatre tasks, and the radio model I directed, broadcast on Radio 3 as a part of the Radio Theatre 81 strand, starred Ian Holm.
I directed a minimum of eight main radio performs for Radio 3 and 4 written by Bernard, starring a variety of main actors. He was a heat and vastly enthusiastic man who lived for his household and his writing, and when this dried up within the theatre, radio was a lifeline.
