I noticed Mohamed Al Fayed a number of occasions when he owned Fulham soccer membership. He was clearly adored by the house followers, and earlier than each match he would do a circuit of the Craven Cottage pitch sporting a black and white Fulham scarf, milking the applause for all it was value.

I used to be much less impressed when my daughter Kat and I noticed him leaving the stadium after a defeat by Manchester United. He was surrounded by a phalanx of safety guards wearing black fits and white shirts plus shades.

Al Fayed clearly loved this bodily expression of energy, and smirked as his males ploughed their method by the throng of primarily United supporters, bundling individuals apart. When my daughter noticed me nearly pushed to the bottom by one of many guards, she was infuriated, and rammed into him, a lot to the delight of the group. Kat slipped away, like a cat within the evening.
