Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 12, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery, with Charlie Rankin, son-in-Law, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Ronald Glenn Bentley was born April 11, 1937, in Canadian. His parents were A.B. and Edith Chumley Martin. Ronald married Barbara Ann Pigg on August 31, 1957, in Canadian. He worked for Halliburton for 35 years in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Ronald and Barbara retired in Canadian. They enjoyed doing woodwork and building furniture together. He loved feeding his quail and playing with his dog, Ben. Ronald was a storyteller and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Edith Martin, a brother, Buddy Martin; and sons-in-law, Steve Ash and Charles McArthur. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bentley; two daughters, Kathleen McArthur and Suzanne Rankin and husband Charlie Rankin; six grandchildren, Amy Williams and husband Greg, Kacie Wood and husband Brendan, Jarod Rankin and wife Sherri, Rebecca Ash, Brianna McArthur and husband Daniel and Elizabeth Fletcher and husband Mason; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Trawick, Jacob Trawick, Hunter Wood, Kiley Williams, and Emma McArthur.
