MARGARET ALICE "PEG" HOLDSTOCK News Release Sat, 04/15/2023 - 08:28 In-page image(s)   Body Margaret Alice “Peg” Holdstock, 85, of Clay, New York, passed away April 12, 2023, in Canadian, surrounded by loved ones. Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 17, at Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel with Donald Hill officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Margaret was born to Joseph and Alice Harrington on March 26, 1938, in Syracuse, New York. She had one sister and five brothers. As a young woman, during wartime, she ran a military teletype for AT&T. She also worked at Butter Maid Bakery and as a diamond specialist at Service Merchandise, although she was primarily a wife, mother, and homemaker. Margaret married William Ullman (d 1969) in 1959. She married Derrick C. Holdstock (d 2011) in 1972. Margaret was a collector of many types of collectible dolls, including Dawn Dolls, for which she would make and sell clothes. She would even make dozens of doll-sized t-shirts each year for the annual Dawn Doll Convention, featuring the convention logo. Margaret and her family loved traveling and enjoyed taking family vacations to NASCAR races and other destinations across the South. She loved her family. Her grandsons and grand puppies were her world. Following her move to Canadian, Margaret cherished time with her great-granddaughter, Trueyn. Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Joseph Harrington; sister, Sandra Jeannette Robinson; brother, Ronald Harrington; and nephews, Jerrold Harrington II and Zachary Harrington. Survivors include two sons, Timothy Ullman (Sondra) of Averill Park, New York and Derrick P. Holdstock (Theresa) of Canadian; three grandsons, Ethan Ullman (Kate Pritchard) of Ballston Spa, New York, Derrick T. Holdstock (Kali McDowell) of Canadian, and Donald Ullman of Averill Park, New York; one great-granddaughter, Trueyn Sloane Holdstock of Canadian; four brothers, Jerrold Harrington (Mary) of Texas, Roger Harrington of California, Kevin Harrington (Donna) of New York, and Kennon Harrington (Christine) of Indiana; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
